Kildare GAA Club Draw Our main Club Fundraiser for 2024 is the Kildare GAA Club draw. We'd like to thank all who supported this year's draw. Over 300 tickets sold and funds raised go into our development fund to further enhance our facilities for our players and members. The second of the four draws takes place this evening, live on KFM Radio.
Phase 2 of our five phase development plan is drawing to a close with the imminent opening of the back pitch after the major drainage works, realignment, installation of floodlights and spectator fencing are now almost complete. We need lots more funds to proceed onto phase 3. #CillDroichidAbú#BígíLinn#onecluboneteam
Golf Classic for the Pat Murphy Cup There's only 1 week to our club Golf Classic at Killeen Golf Club, Friday September 27th. There's only a few morning tee times left. All support is greatly appreciated, especially for tee/hole sponsorship which is only €50. Contact Pat White on 0862531535 or Jim O'Shea 0879760235 to book your tee time or to sponsor a tee box, or Revolut @ianyuk1q Eoin Murphy along with club Chairman Ian Power, adult players Aaron, Maura, Megan and Niall at the recent photoshoot.
Pitch Development Our pitches continue to look and play great as we move into Autumn and towards the ends of most teams' seasons. They were all fertilized and sanded recently and repairs to humps and hollows continue.
The back pitch is almost there as growth continues and the grass knits together. We are waiting on the lights to be connected to the power grid, the spectator fencing is complete and there's 500mts of walkway installed around the perimeter of the grounds where lots of people have already got to see the extra ground seeded and available for training etc after clearing of the scrub ground. Check out how well our grounds look, especially in the sunshine, at the recent u10's Festival of Football HERE. Thanks to Adam Quinn for his drone footage.
