Mick O'Grady Retires from Kildare Senior Football Team
Today, we celebrate more than just a career — we celebrate a legacy.
Mick O'Grady, your journey has been nothing short of inspiring. From your first game against Athlone IT to your last appearance in the Lilywhite jersey against Limerick in this year's Tailteann Cup Final, you’ve given everything — skill, spirit, and heart — to the sport and to all of us who had the privilege to watch you play.
Every moment you stepped onto the field, you’ve shown us what dedication truly means. With your leadership, you have inspired countless young players in the county and especially here in Celbridge to dream bigger.
But what we’ll cherish most is the person behind the player — your humility, your sportsmanship, and the respect you showed to everyone around you. We're so very proud of you Mick and of how you represented our club as a player and captain over the last 12 years with Kildare GAA.
As you hang up your county boots, know that your impact doesn’t end here. You’ve left footprints that will guide others for years to come. The game is better because you were part of it.
Congratulations Mick on an incredible career — and here’s to the next chapter of your journey.
