The Senior Football squads will be running a race night fundraising event on April 30th in the clubhouse. The money raised through the event will contribute towards purchasing team gear, and covering other team costs, as both squads embark on achieving success in 2016.
The organisers kindly request the support of all members in ensuring the event is a great success.
We look forward to seeing you in the newly refurbished clubhouse on April 30th for an action packed night.

Kildare 1-21 Cork 1-13
Kildare shocked Cork in Thurles as Niall Kelly led the way with 1-4
Cork hopes of putting the disappointment of losing the Munster final replay defeat to Kerry quickly behind them were demolished by a rejuvenated Kildare in the fourth round of the qualifiers at Semple Stadium last night. A 1-21 to 1-13 win for Jason Ryan's side sets up an All-Ireland quarter-final against Kerry on Sunday next, and granted Kildare its first Championship win over Cork in 87 years.

GAA.ie FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES Mick O'Grady (Kildare)
Mick was also chosen for the team of the week.
Laois forward Donie Kingston rightly won the plaudits for his display in the drawn game against the Lilywhites, but Kildare had a plan for him in the replay, and it was brilliantly executed by their full-back Mick O'Grady on Saturday night. O'Grady stuck to Kingston like a limpet throughout in O'Connor Park, and his sticky man-marking job worked. Although Kingston managed a second half goal, it was about the only bit of space he was given in the entire match, as O'Grady led a very well-organised collective effort in shutting down the talented Kingston. Kildare's victory was built on solid defence, ultimately, and O'Grady was the leader at the back.
