Celbridge GAA Academy

The Celbridge GAA Academy provides a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for boys and girls aged 3 to 6 years to learn the fundamentals of Gaelic football and hurling. The focus is on fun, movement, and skill development, helping every child build confidence and friendships through play.

When and Where

• Day: Saturday
• Time: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Location: Celbridge GAA Grounds, in either the MUGA (astro surface to the rear of the hall), front pitch (in front of the hall), or hall if raining.. For directions, use Eircode: W23 YY29 or this Google Maps link.

Coaches will post a quick update on the Friday evening before each session to confirm the location (pitch or hall).

Age Groups

• 2020 group – Ages 5-6 (transitioning towards Go Games)
• 2021 group – Ages 4-5 (developing core skills)
• 2022 group – Ages 3-4 (learning balance, coordination, and fun movement)

What to Bring

• Comfortable sports clothes
• Runners or football boots (no studs for hall use)
• Water bottle (labelled)
• Light rain jacket and hat when needed
• Hurl and helmet

Cost and Registration

• Membership: €100 per year (includes one child and one adult)
• Each registered child receives an Academy t-shirt
• Registration must be completed via the QR-code link provided
• Payment and registration must be finalised within two weeks of starting 

Parents and Volunteers

The Academy is volunteer-run, and parental help is always welcome. You can get involved as:

• A coach or assistant coach
• A check-in desk helper
• A set-up volunteer (once a month)
• A lead coordinator (to support weekly operations)
• Even one hour a month makes a big difference. Training and safeguarding courses are provided by the club.

Communication

• Weekly updates are sent via the WhatsApp group
• Please arrive 10 minutes early for check-in each week
• Any schedule changes (e.g., weather) are communicated by 9 AM Saturday

Membership

To pay club membership fee (€100 per year), please download the Clubforce Connect app by scanning the QR code below, or visit your device's app store using the links below.

Once in the app, search for Celbridge GAA club and follow the links to membership. You can choose the Academy membership where you'll be prompted for your child's details and the parent/guardian details.
